Civil:

Elizabeth regularly advises and represents Local Authorities and individuals in homelessness appeals (County Court and Judicial Review).  She is experienced in anti-social behaviour injunctions, defending possession applications by private and social landlords, and her practice incorporates all areas of Housing Law (disrepair, quiet enjoyment, unlawful eviction, landlord and tenant, demotions, and allocations disputes).  She also specialises in personal injury, contract, TOLATA and other areas of general chancery law, and has a keen interest in mental health law.

Family:

Elizabeth has a robust ancillary relief practice - especially out of jurisdiction assets, applications under MCA s37, and Schedule 1 provision for children.

She also undertakes private and public law Children Act applications,  acting for Local Authorities, Guardians and family members. She appeared in the Court of Appeal as junior counsel in an appeal relating to dispensing with parental consent to adoption.

Mediation:

Elizabeth is a qualified mediator and can be instructed in all areas of mediation through the clerking team.

Elizabeth brings her mediation skills into all areas of her practice, and is dedicated to dealing with difficult subjects with sensitivity and rounded advice.

She is a member of the Personal Injury Bar Association, the Housing Law Practitioners’ Association, and the Family Law Bar Association.
