After completing her second 6 pupillage with immigration law specialist, Christa Fielden at Lamb Building, Daya joined 12 Old Square where she practiced almost exclusively in immigration law, until she moved to Devon in May 1997.
Daya regularly appeared before immigration judges, and the immigration tribunal, as well as presenting leave applications to judicially review in the High Court.

Asylum (notably Pardeep Saini, the Indian man who stowed away, with his brother, in the under carriage of a 747 flight from Delhi)

Marriage cases, including Polygamus marriages, and marriages suspected by the home office when one party has previously been refused leave to remain in the United Kingdom.
