Before joining Southemhay Chambers in 2004, Sarah practised as an Attorney in New York for seven years, where she worked for one of the leading 'Magic Circle' family law firms. She was the only British Attorney
at the New York Family Bar at the time. Her practice there involved primarily ancillary relief and private law matters, and included many complex 'big money' cases,
and high-profile residence and contact disputes.
Sarah has been a family lawyer for over fifteen years and is qualified in three separate Jurisdictions, having also been a solicitor in Edinburgh where she worked for one of the leading Scottish firms. Originally an English solicitor, she did her traineeship in London with a well-known firm specialising in international child abduction. She is also trained as a Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer by the Centre for Mediation in Law in New York.
Sarah joined Southernhay Chambers in 2004 and has
a wide and varied family law practice which has developed rapidly to encompass public law cases whilst sustaining a strong ancillary relief and private law practice.
Sarah is a member of the Family Law Bar Association. |
