Immigration & Asylum

Tahina has had a long interest of rights of vulnerable people on a domestic level and also on an international scale.
Prior to joining the Bar upon completion of her studies Tahina worked at a number of voluntary projects, working with people suffering from violence and asylum seekers in the East End of London. Often this involved the use of Tahina’s language skills in Urdu, Bengali and Hindi.
Tahina has studied the specific areas of International Human Rights Law (awarded a distinction on her paper on the Rights of the Child), Public International Law and European Law. She has developed her studies into practice and she is an active member of UNICEF and has recently been involved with the International Labour Organisation in Europe and South East Asia..
Tahina has worked with immigrant communities in London and the North, she has further worked with OISC registered organisations, particularly on the issue of work permits.
She is committed to offering the highest of client care and believes in an approachable and clear manner.
Tahina has a particular interest in Entry Clearance and the recent developments in this area on the question of maintenance.

Tahina has traveled extensively, including numerous countries in the Caribbean, Central and Eastern Europe, the Indian Sub continent and South East- Asia, with an imminent trip to Africa pending.
