Penny Ireland

Penny specialises in all areas of family law, with a particular emphasis on financial remedies (ancillary relief). Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of cases including high net worth, business and company, pensions, illiquid assets and debt. Within her financial practice she also accepts instructions in TOLATA matters.

Penny also has extensive experience in private and public law children work, with particular interest in the more complex private law cases.

General

Penny practised in London, Reading and Taunton before joining Southernhay Chambers in 2011.

She has established a strong reputation as an advocate who combines robust and sympathetic qualities with the ability and confidence to adapt her approach as required. She accepts publicly funded work in all her areas of expertise.

Penny is also a qualified mediator, and in 2010 she was appointed a Deputy District Judge on the Northern Circuit.
